The Honda Civic Hatchback Gets Refreshed for the 2020 Model Year

Recently, Honda reported that the 2020 Honda Civic Hatchback is going to boast updated exterior styling and a new interior trim, with upgrades to the Sport and Sport Touring trims also on offer. Arriving at our Poway dealership later this year, the redesigned 2020 Honda Civic Hatchback joins the Civic Sedan and Civic Coupe, which were remodeled last year.

The Honda Civic Hatchback features an updated signature "wing" grille crossbar, revamped fog light housings, and a blackout treatment for the headlights. All trim levels get new wheel designs in either black or dark gray, while the rear lower bumper gets a body-color crossbar to mirror the same treatment up front. Finally, Sport Touring models get improved LED headlights.

Inside, the dash trim differs between trim levels. LX and EX models receive a painted pattern; Sport trims get a geometrical pattern; EX-L and Sport Touring models feature a brushed black treatment. In addition, the EX trim gets an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a leather-wrapped shift knob. The Sport trim adds an upgraded Display Audio system that features Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ smartphone integration, while — for the first time ever — the Sport Touring trim can be equipped with a six-speed manual transmission. Finally, Sport Touring models feature the convenience of the HomeLink ® universal garage door opener.
