always moving forward to a better future, our favorite Japanese automaker is making strides to offer better hybrid engines and it starts with better materials. Hybrid engines have been using rare-earth metals in their production but, as the cost of these metals goes up by a projected 14% every year, Honda decided to make a change for the better.

They'll be using a new and lighter material called neodymium that is both less expensive to use and will result in engines that weight less for a more efficient ride. They're using this technology on their upcoming Honda Freed, which is a hybrid minivan that is set to release in Japan later this year. We can't wait to learn more and hear the good news about its success.
