The last time the U.S. market saw a Honda Civic hatchback was in 2005. Since then, the Euro-spec model has gotten more and more stylish and functional, and our jealousy has only increased. You can imagine our delight when we got our first look at the tenth-gen hatchback in Geneva, and learned that it will, in fact, be making it to our shores in 2017.

The Civic five-door in Geneva is actually a concept car. Fortunately, the gap between prototype and production metal is a fairly narrow one in Honda's case. And good thing, too, because the tenth-gen hatch is one fine looking car. The body panels and front end are unchanged from the sedan and coupe, with the roofline tapering back elegantly to the rear lift gate. The most exciting view of the car is in profile, which gives it a meaty persona.
