When you have the right safety features in your vehicle, driving responsibly and safely is like second nature. Our favorite Japanese automaker has recently filed for two patents regarding safety tech and, if you love advanced technology, then you're going to love what Honda has planned.
Both patents make use of an augmented reality heads-up display - or HUD for short - that allows you to see more than just what your eyes can see when you look out the windows. The first patent would target pedestrian safety, keeping you aware of pedestrians around you and in your blind spot so you can be ready to stop should any of them step out into the road. The other patent concerns vehicle-to-vehicle communication. The HUD would allow you to see up to two cars ahead of you, allowing you to monitor the speed of other cars and give you advanced warning if any vehicle stops suddenly so you have more time to react.
