Winter weather can be treacherous and deadly, but you can be ready for anything the road brings if your vehicle is properly serviced and maintained for the winter months. Start by making sure your vehicle has been serviced recently, and check things like antifreeze levels, oil levels, defroster and heater; it's also important to check tire pressure and tread depth. Even if you don't live in a cold climate, it's still a good idea to have a winter weather survival kit in your vehicle; this should include items like jumper cables, a flashlight (with spare batteries), a blanket, first aid kit, and water and snacks.
